Red light panels
Full-size red and near-infrared panels for a session before coffee or after the gym. Ten minutes, eyes protected, glowing like a lava lamp.

A private room with its own entrance in a mid-century redwood home, with a cedar sauna, a cold plunge, red light panels and a home gym. Plus the view you're looking at.
I'm renting the second bedroom in my quiet 2-bed, 1-bath up in the Berkeley Hills. You get your own room with its own entrance, full access to the backyard wellness setup, and one chill, low-drama roommate (me). Furnished or clean slate, your call.
A bright, private bedroom with a beamed wood ceiling, warm hardwood floors and a full mirrored closet wall. A big glass slider opens right onto the back patio, so the sauna and cold plunge are steps from your bed. It has its own separate entrance, so your comings and goings are your own.

Tap any photo to see it big. The styled photo is from the home's listing shoot; "today" is how it looks now.
Vaulted, beamed ceilings, redwood paneling and a long run of windows looking out into the canopy. It feels like a cabin and lives like a home: gas range, washer and dryer, and the kind of quiet you only get up the hill.

People pay day-spa prices for this circuit. Here it's all at home, any time you want it: heat, cold, light and iron, with the trees and the deer for company.

A real cedar barrel sauna with a Harvia heater and a stone bed. Dry heat, cedar smell, no membership, no booking app.

Chilled, covered and ready next to the sauna. Hot, cold, repeat. It's the best reset in the house.

Rack, barbell and bumper plates, an adjustable bench and an elliptical on rubber floors. No commute, no waiting for the rack.

Rinse off under the sky between rounds, then lie back on the patio and let your nervous system catch up.
A sample routine to show the flow, not medical advice. Go at your own pace.
No gym membership, no day-spa passes, no booking app. The sauna, cold plunge, red light panels and gym come with the room. Utilities are the only extra.
Typical cost elsewhere: an East Bay gym membership with infrared sauna and cold plunge lists at $199 a month (Body Mechanix Laurel).
Deer wander through the yard like they pay rent too. These were all filmed and shot at the house this year, some of them right next to the sauna.
The house looks west over the Bay. A few sunsets (and two sunrises) from this year, all shot at home. Swipe through.

I coach executives on health and performance, I've danced professionally for twenty years, and I build AI systems for fun. I keep a calm, clean-living, low-drama home, and I use the sauna and plunge a lot, so if you want a contrast-therapy buddy you've got one. If you want quiet, you've got that too.
That's the whole list. Be kind, keep it clean, enjoy the sauna.

Right away. The room is available now.
First month's rent plus a deposit equal to one month's rent: $1,987 + $1,987, so $3,974 up front.
The room plus full access to the home gym, dry cedar sauna, cold plunge, red light panels and outdoor shower. Washer and dryer too. Utilities are paid on top of rent; I'll walk you through what they usually run when we talk.
Month-to-month. No long commitment.
Your choice. It can be furnished, or a clean slate for your own things.
Just me, Joe. It's a 2-bed, 1-bath, so you share the bathroom with one person.
Yes. WFH is totally fine, and the house is quiet.
Street parking.
Neither, sorry. It's a no smoking, no pets home.
Up in the Berkeley Hills, just off Grizzly Peak. I share the exact address once we've connected.
